Balance sheet statements

For the year ending 30 September 2025 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.

  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, excluding discounts, rebates, value added tax and other sales taxes. Turnover from the rendering of services is recognised by reference to the stage of completion of the contract. Grant income receivable to contribute to the costs of certain projects is recognised by reference to the stage of completion of the project amd is included in other operating income.

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

    Tangible assets are included at cost less depreciation and impairment. Depreciation has been provided at the following rates in order to write off the assets over their estimated useful lives: Plant & machinery - 20% on a straight line basis

    Other accounting policies

    Deferred tax arises as a result of including items of income and expenditure in taxation computations in periods different from those in which they are included in the company's accounts. Deferred tax is provided in full on timing differences which result in an obligation to pay more (or less) tax at a future date, at the average tax rates that are expected to apply when the timing differences reverse, based on current tax rates and laws. Deferred tax assets and liabilities are not discounted.

Company activities and impact

Over the last year SEN-Fit CIC has provided services to client from the SEND population and their families. It has continued to provide, SENCircuit weekly sessions increasing to two sessions per week, SENPT, 1:1 and 2:1 bespoke training package, SENWell-Being support individuals with emotional literacy learning. It has continued its work with applied for Holiday and Activity Fund holiday club, contracting to two sites, as the grant for the third club was not sustainable. SEN-Fit CIC currently run: SENCircuits- Weekly Circuit style class SENPT- 1:1 bespoke personal training SENWell-Being- Bespoke 1:1 Package of emotional literacy and physical activity support aimed at children 7+ SENDay- Our HAF project ran under this service, future holidays clubs will also run under this project name. Tea Time clubs for children aged 8-16 to get active and build life and social skills. SEND Mentoring a Term time offering for those out of school to build fitness, life and social skills in a nurturing environment. SENFamily Support, a program of support groups, well being sessions and 1:1 bespoke advice, signposting and support for those needing support with EHCP/DLA or schools, this also included newly added PlayFit sessions for children in holidays. Over the last year we have supported 27 children to be active weekly with 22 of these attending every week. Over the summer holiday we supported 102 children to access holiday club sessions with 24 sessions delivered over 4 weeks during the summer alone offering a breadth of coverage for families in the challenging summer holidays. We have delivered 787 hours of family support in this year of the project (January 25 to September 2025) with 163 parents and carers attending workshops and 161 accessing weekly support. We have supported 20 adults to become regularly active. We have taken on our own premises in Langley Mill and transitioned all children and adults from Heanor sessions to the new venue. Having our own premises has enabled us to upgrade equipment, and provide more valuable sessions. It has provided SEN-Fit with a base for people to visit and helped build SEN-Fit Identity over the last year. Attendance at Networking events is growing the knowledge of the service within Derbyshire, enquiries about the service are growth have been fast paced this year. SEN-Fit is becoming a more recognition name, with individuals more likely to know or have heard of us. Networking is still a priority, however balancing this with delivery is a challenge. 13 grants were applied for, and 46% of these were successful with funding coming from UKSPF, Aldercar and Langley Mill Parish Council, Amber Valley Social Connectiveness , Public Health Amber Valley and Holiday and Activity Fund for both Derbyshire & Derby City, as well as Happy Days, and Jog Derbyshire. SEN-Fit has 618 followers on Instagram with an average monthly reach of accounts of 7.8k and 916 Facebook followers and average monthly reach of 9122 views. The delivery of services this year has received great feedback, on the need for them, and support provided.

Consultation with stakeholders

Feedback has been gathered in a variety of ways. SEN-Fit CIC has sent out an annual feedback form via Microsoft forms to those attending our SENCircit, SENPT and SENWell-Being or accessing our Family Support. Feedback was also sought the 1st birthday party celebration. The feedback told us: 1. Parents/Carers told us they felt Healthier, more confident, more active and less isolated. 2. 83% of parents/carers told us their mental health had been supported by our well being sessions; With 67% feeling less isolated. Parents/Carers were asked to give one word for what SEN-Fit Means to their family the said: Non judgemental, Life-line, Amazing, Fills the Gap Socialise Support, Everything, Inclusive, Fantastic Fun, Supporting, The world. We also collect verbal and written feedback sent to us via email and face to face contact. Holiday club specific feedback from children and parents: 1. 84% of Parents told us that signing up for Holiday Clubs was Very Easy. 2. Parents/Carers rated us 4.63 out of 5 stars for how much their child enjoyed Holiday clubs. 3. Parents/Carers rated us 4.79 out of 5 starts for how well their child was looked after at sessions. 4. Parents/Carers told us their child was more active as a result of our sessions. General feedback given for this year include comments such as, ‘SENFIT is an extremely valuable resource for the special needs community in our area. The staff are accommodating and welcoming and very knowledgeable. We would struggle much more without it’, amongst others with similar themes of SEN-Fit being valuable and of great support to families. Following our amazing feedback for 2026 we will continue to deliver all the current services and look at additions such as weekly Teen circuits and higher intensity strength sessions. We will also be continuing to deliver Family Support and Holiday club work. We will continue to look for and apply for grants to build our sustainability.

Directors' remuneration

The total amount paid or receivable by directors in respect of qualifying services was £22,200. There were no other transactions or arrangements in connection with the remuneration of directors, or compensation for director’s loss of office, which require to be disclosed.
