During the financial year, North Northamptonshire Community Education CIC focused on establishing the organisation and developing its community offer. As a newly incorporated Community Interest Company, activities were centred on governance, organisational development, programme design and identifying community need within North Northamptonshire. The company developed plans for educational, employability and wellbeing programmes aimed at supporting local communities, particularly young people who may face barriers to education, employment and training. Work was undertaken to explore partnerships with education providers, employers and community organisations to support future delivery. Although the company did not undertake direct programme delivery during this financial year, the activities completed have laid the foundations for future community benefit. The company's planned programmes will focus on improving access to education, employability skills, personal development, physical activity, wellbeing and opportunities linked to sustainability and green skills. The directors believe these preparatory activities are an important step towards delivering long term social impact and supporting communities across North Northamptonshire.
