During the financial year, Street Smartz CIC delivered community focused sports, wellbeing and engagement programmes for children, young people and families across North Manchester. Our activities provided safe, structured and inclusive opportunities for participation, helping to reduce barriers linked to cost, confidence and social isolation. We supported local families through subsidised and free access to football sessions, activities and targeted support, enabling children to stay active, connected and positively engaged. Our work improved wellbeing, increased physical activity, strengthened social connections and created a sense of belonging for participants from diverse backgrounds. Overall, our programmes had a clear and positive impact on the community by improving access to sport, supporting family stability and contributing to healthier, more confident and more connected young people.
Yes. We consulted with parents, young people, families, schools and community partners through regular feedback at our sessions and ongoing conversations about what support was needed. We also engaged with coaches and local organisations to understand priorities in the area. This consultation helped shape our activities and ensured they met the needs of the community.
