Talk Action aim to create a fairer and more equal world through professional training and community projects. In the year ending September 2025, Talk Action delivered training courses to professional and charitable organisations. Training days included the following topics: engaging communities on climate change; working with diverse communities; community engagement; volunteer management. Talk Action delivered several community based projects that promoted the core values of opportunity, equality and diversity. These include: Skyrise Festival: A full day event run entirely by volunteers and community spirit held in Bridgetown, Totnes. Talk Action ran regular training sessions for residents in Bridgetown on events management. The training enabled people to co-design, co-create and deliver a community arts festival. Training topics included planning, budgeting, marketing, health & safety. The event brought people together in a positive way and celebrated the hard work and dedication of the community. Details about the community event included an eclectic mix of live music, food and drink, craft and info stalls, children and adult activities, art workshops,theatre sessions, competitions and a whole host of other fun and educational/informative things to do. Funding for the event was provided by Devon County Council, South Hams District Councillors, Totnes Town Councillors and local business sponsors.
