During the financial year ending 31 August 2025, Heroine Media CIC delivered community-focused creative and cultural activities centred around heritage interpretation, storytelling, live performance, and practitioner-led creative engagement. The company’s activities benefited the community in the following ways: * freelance creative practitioners, performers, and collaborators were commissioned and paid for project-based cultural work and public engagement activity * Audiences and participants were given access to creative and heritage-focused experiences through live events, storytelling projects, and cultural interpretation activity * The company supported the development and visibility of independent artists, musicians, creatives, and heritage practitioners through collaborative creative production and public-facing work * Digital and live creative content was developed to encourage wider public engagement with culture, music, storytelling, and heritage subjects * operational activity supported grassroots creative practice and small-scale cultural production within local and regional communities Income received during the period was used directly to support project delivery, practitioner payments, creative production costs, and the ongoing operation of the CIC in line with its community interest objectives.
Heroine Media CIC engaged informally with a range of stakeholders during the financial year, including freelance creative practitioners, performers, collaborators, audiences, cultural participants, and community partners connected to its creative and heritage-focused activities. Stakeholder consultation took place through ongoing creative collaboration, project development discussions, audience engagement, live events, and feedback gathered through both in-person and digital interaction. Feedback and discussion with stakeholders informed the company’s approach to: * supporting freelance practitioners through paid creative opportunities * developing accessible and engaging cultural and storytelling activity * expanding digital engagement alongside live community-based work * encouraging collaborative and interdisciplinary creative practice The company responded to stakeholder feedback by continuing to prioritise practitioner-led collaboration, flexible creative working models, public engagement activity, and the development of community-focused cultural projects.
