The objects of the Company are to carry on activities which benefit the community and in particular (without limitation) to facilitate the creation and implementation of projects that drive renewable energy generation (Power Up) and improve energy efficiency (Power Down). The geographic focus of the Company is the parishes of Thame (OX9), Haddenham (HP17), Long Crendon (HP18), and their surrounding villages and settlements (the Phoenix Communities). Wherever possible, the Company will develop case studies to share their knowledge and experience on digital forums and with similar groups from across the United Kingdom. Without limiting that general aim, the Company will also seek to: * Build awareness, support, engagement and positive action towards a sustainable energy system among residents and businesses in the Phoenix Communities, by sharing its knowledge and understanding of the importance and feasibility of Power Up and Power Down solutions * Engage and, so far as practicable, work with relevant enterprises and other organisations, town, district and county councils and other competent authorities in promoting and helping implement these community projects * Encourage and promote the application of sustainability and green living principles and practices relating to energy in the Phoenix Communities; and * Engage and, so far as practicable, work collaboratively with other third-party bodies and groups seeking environmentally sustainable solutions in community energy.
