1. STATUTORY INFORMATION

Taster Food UK SF Limited is a private company, limited by shares , registered in England and Wales. The company's registered number and registered office address can be found on the Company Information page.

2. ACCOUNTING POLICIES

Basis of preparing the financial statements
These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with Financial Reporting Standard 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" including the provisions of Section 1A "Small Entities" and the Companies Act 2006. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention.

Related party exemption
The company has taken advantage of exemption, under the terms of Financial Reporting Standard 102 'The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland', not to disclose related party transactions with wholly owned subsidiaries within the group.

Turnover
Turnover comprises the sale of food and beverage to customers and is recognised upon delivery and acceptance by customers, net of value added tax and sales discount. Turnover is only recognised when it is certain consideration will be received.

Intangible assets
Intangible assets acquired separately are measured on initial recognition at cost. Following initial recognition, intangible assets are carried at cost less any accumulated amortisation and any accumulated impairment losses.

The amortisation period and the amortisation method for an intangible asset with a finite useful life are reviewed at least at each financial year-end. Changes in the expected useful life or the expected pattern of consumption of future economic benefits embodied in the asset is accounted for by changing the amortisation period or method, as appropriate, and are treated as changes in accounting estimates. The amortisation expense on intangible assets with finite lives is recognised in profit and loss in the expense category consistent with the function of the intangible asset.

Franchise fees paid have been capitalised and are being amortised on a straight line basis over the franchise licence period.

Tangible fixed assets
Depreciation is provided at the following annual rates in order to write off each asset over its estimated useful life.
Improvements to property - over period of lease
Plant and machinery - 25% straight line
Fixtures and fittings - 25% straight line
Computer equipment - 33.33% straight line

Tangible fixed assets are stated at cost less accumulated depreciation and any accumulated impairment losses.

The carrying values of tangible fixed assets are reviewed for impairment when events or changes in circumstances indicate that the carrying value may not be recoverable.

The residual values, useful lives and depreciation method are reviewed at each financial year end to ensure that the amounts, method and period of depreciation are consistent with previous estimates and the expected pattern of consumption of the future economic benefits embodied in the items of tangible fixed assets.

Stocks
Stocks comprise raw materials and consumables.

Stocks are valued at the lower of cost and net realisable value. Cost comprise purchase costs accounted for on a first in first out cost basis.

Where necessary, allowance is provided for damaged, obsolete and slow-moving items to adjust the carrying value of stock to the lower cost and net realisable value.

Net realisable value is based on estimated selling price in the ordinary course of business, less estimated costs of completion and the estimated costs necessary to make the sale.

Financial instruments
The company only enters into basic financial instruments transactions that result in the recognition of financial assets and liabilities like trade receivables and trade payables and loans from third parties.

The basic financial instruments are initially recognised at transaction price and subsequently carried at amortised cost.

Taxation
Taxation for the year comprises deferred tax only. Tax is recognised in the Income Statement, except to the extent that it relates to items recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity.

Deferred taxation assets and liabilities are not discounted.

Deferred tax
Deferred tax is recognised in respect of all timing differences that have originated but not reversed at the balance sheet date.

Timing differences arise from the inclusion of income and expenses in tax assessments in periods different from those in which they are recognised in financial statements. Deferred tax is measured using tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the year end and that are expected to apply to the reversal of the timing difference.

Unrelieved tax losses and other deferred tax assets are recognised only to the extent that it is probable that they will be recovered against the reversal of deferred tax liabilities or other future taxable profits.

Foreign currencies
Assets and liabilities in foreign currencies are translated into sterling at the rates of exchange ruling at the balance sheet date. Transactions in foreign currencies are translated into sterling at the rate of exchange ruling at the date of transaction. Exchange differences are taken into account in arriving at the operating result.

Significant judgements and estimates
Management have been required to make judgements and estimates when determining the depreciation method and rates used in writing off each tangible fixed asset over its estimated useful life. The estimated useful life reflects management's estimate of the period that the Company intends to derive future economic benefits from the use of the Company's property, plant and equipment.
