The company runs a boxing club, located in a deprived area of the West Midlands. The company also as the tenant of a building allows the club for other martial arts or fitness groups to use the facility. All classes are designed to improve physical fitness, mental health and support as part of a community. We have a significant group of users that rely on our community boxing club for support, in particular with mental health. We are very proud of the progress we have made in supporting young people with bullying at school, online bullying and we see clear improvements in their confidence over time which is by far the most rewarding part of running this company. The boxing club has hugely benefited the local community by encouraging boxing and other similar hobbies to young people in the area. Our club does work with local schools who have very challenged young people for fitness work during school hours. The club encourages an inclusive atmosphere and welcomes people of all fitness levels. We have recently had a great response to ladies only boxing classes led by a female boxing coach. We see a large number of overweight people start a new chapter in their lives by regular exercise sessions.
The company’s stakeholders were members of the previous boxing club which was closed due to lack of funds in 2021. James Rossiter & Graham Mumford the company stakeholder and directors invested significantly to re-open the old boxing club and make it into a warm and welcoming atmosphere to everyone in our local community.
