    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Turnover comprises income from educational activities, training, grants and related services. Income is recognised in the period to which it relates when entitlement has been established and the amount can be measured reliably.

Company activities and impact

During the financial year ended 31 December 2025, TheRainbow CIC continued to pursue its community interest objectives by supporting the wellbeing, education and personal development of children, young people, families and members of the wider community. The company worked to develop and promote activities focused on forest school learning, therapeutic support, emotional wellbeing, inclusion and community engagement. The CIC also invested time in planning future programmes, building partnerships and increasing awareness of services designed to benefit vulnerable and disadvantaged individuals. Through these activities, TheRainbow CIC sought to create positive social impact by improving access to nature-based learning, wellbeing support and community-focused opportunities. The directors believe these activities have contributed to the public benefit and furthered the company’s community interest purpose.

Consultation with stakeholders

TheRainbow CIC consulted with parents, families, community members and potential service users throughout the financial year through informal discussions, meetings and feedback. Stakeholders were asked about community needs relating to children’s wellbeing, forest school provision, therapeutic support and inclusive educational opportunities. Feedback indicated a need for accessible nature-based learning opportunities, wellbeing support and community-focused activities. The company used this feedback to help shape its future planning, service development and community engagement activities.
