Accounting policies |
Basis of preparation |
The accounts have been prepared under the historical cost convention and in accordance with FRS 102, The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland (as applied to small entities by section 1A of the standard). |
Turnover |
Turnover represents ground rents, substation rental income and other income receivable during the year, excluding value added tax. Income is recognised in the period to which it relates. Lease extension premiums are recognised at the point the related lease extension completes. |
Tangible fixed assets |
Tangible fixed assets are measured at cost less accumulated impairment losses. Freehold land is not depreciated as it is considered to have an indefinite useful economic life. The directors review the carrying value of the freehold property annually and make provision for impairment where considered necessary. |
Debtors |
Short term debtors are measured at transaction price (which is usually the invoice price), less any impairment losses for bad and doubtful debts. Loans and other financial assets are initially recognised at transaction price including any transaction costs and subsequently measured at amortised cost determined using the effective interest method, less any impairment losses for bad and doubtful debts. |
Creditors |
Short term creditors are measured at transaction price (which is usually the invoice price). Loans and other financial liabilities are initially recognised at transaction price net of any transaction costs and subsequently measured at amortised cost determined using the effective interest method. |
Taxation |
Current tax is recognised for the amount of corporation tax payable in respect of the taxable profit for the current or past reporting periods using tax rates and laws enacted or substantively enacted at the balance sheet date. Deferred tax is recognised in respect of all material timing differences. |
