During the financial year April 2025 to March 2026, Round in Circles Productions CIC delivered a diverse programme of inclusive dance, performance, and community engagement activity across Kent and beyond. Our core offer continued to centre around our Tea Dance events, delivered in locations including Norwich, Aylesbury (Waddesdon), and Cliftonville. These intergenerational social dance events provide welcoming, accessible spaces for people of all ages and backgrounds to connect, reducing social isolation and supporting wellbeing through movement and shared experience. We delivered a range of Argentine Tango classes, practicas and milongas, creating consistent opportunities for adults to develop skills, build confidence, and participate in a supportive social dance community. These sessions are particularly valued for their role in fostering connection, creativity, and mental wellbeing. As part of Folkestone Fringe 2025, we presented Brutal Echo, a film projection developed through a participatory process involving local young people and older dancers. This intergenerational project enabled participants to collaborate creatively, share perspectives, and contribute to a professional artistic outcome, strengthening community cohesion and voice. Locally, we delivered “Local Beats” workshops in partnership with The EU Club at Cliftonville Community Centre, engaging young people and their families, from culturally diverse backgrounds, through music and movement-based activity. These workshops supported creative expression, confidence-building, and access to arts provision in an informal, community setting. Over the autumn and winter period, we delivered cabaret performances for queer audiences, providing inclusive, celebratory spaces in collaboration with diverse artists and create a sense of belonging for LGBTQ+ communities, particularly during quieter and more isolating times of year. Across all activities, the company remained committed to accessibility, inclusion, and high-quality artistic experiences, using dance and performance as a means to bring people together, support wellbeing, and strengthen community connections.
The company’s stakeholders include participants and audiences attending our Tea Dances, Tango classes and events, young people and community partners involved in Local Beats workshops, artists and collaborators, and audiences engaging with our performances and digital content. We consulted stakeholders through a range of informal and accessible methods. Audience feedback was collected during Local Beats workshops and from audiences attending the Brutal Echo film projection at Folkestone Fringe 2025. At Tea Dance events, we gathered written feedback through a guest book, enabling attendees to share reflections on their experience in their own words. We also engaged stakeholders through digital channels, including feedback and interaction via Instagram and Facebook. Audience members were invited to join our mailing list at events and online, and we sent approximately five email communications during the reporting period, creating opportunities for ongoing engagement and response. Feedback highlighted the importance of welcoming, inclusive and sociable environments, as well as the value of creative activity for wellbeing and connection. In response, the company has continued to prioritise accessibility and inclusivity across its programme, maintaining and developing its Tea Dance events and ensuring that workshops and classes remain responsive to participant needs. Digital feedback has also informed how we communicate with audiences, leading to clearer and more consistent information-sharing about events and opportunities to participate. Through these approaches, stakeholder feedback continues to inform the development and delivery of the company’s activities.
During the year, A L T Symes, Director of the company, made charges for administrative and professional services rendered that totalled £12,425
