This was the opening trading period for the CIC and the results have been reasonable so far although the current trading activity and financial position are gradually improving and the overall outlook is looking much better. The ambitions of the CIC are to assist children and young people by creating specific spaces where people of all ages can interact with each other through art, talking and thinking techniques. By the creation of visual art and dialogue, this will assist all young people improve their confidence, well - being and make new friends and contacts. Every child deserves a chance in life and this should benefit them considerably irrespective of educational ability or background. By providing community projects, art sessions, workshops, teacher CPD and home schooling programmes, the CIC aims to reach out to people who may require additional support, people who cannot cope with a more structured environment and those who would never consider the arts as a therapeutic form of well - being. All classes and workshops have seen rises in attendees and we hope to expand our services into new areas, ideas and regions as the funding programme continues to improve over the months ahead. We always strive to communicate with attendees and guests to ensure that we can improve class material, projects, structures and artistic direction as this helps clients to feel valued and better after each session and to feel that they receive value for money which is essential during this difficult ongoing economic climate.
Surveys are undertaken with all attendees and clients to discuss how we are able to improve class material, projects and logistics and to evaluate the well - being of each individual. We are always interested in how clients discovered us, whether they feel each event is value for money which is very important in the current business world and what else we could offer them as a new service going forward. This ensures that we connect with the most relevant participants and continue to provide a valuable service for the local community. We always aim to discover new areas of work and participation events of a different nature and will continue to build on this in future years to come. All grant monies are carefully employed in the CIC to ensure that all costs are covered and to assist with administration expenses, general office costs and to ensure that funds are available to support all staff requirements. There has been no transfer of assets other than for full consideration.
