The investment represents the novation of £449,937 of trading debt owed by Brand Traction Limited (a wholly owned subsidiary) to Cint UK Limited, converted to equity on incorporation. A further £800,567 of legacy debt owed by a predecessor entity of Brand Traction Limited (now in administration) was also novated to and assumed by the company under the same arrangement and subsequently extinguished through conversion to equity; accordingly it has not been attributed to the cost of investment as it carried no economic value to the group. As a result both obligations are now settled, with Cint UK Limited (a subsidiary of Cint AB) holding the resulting equity interest in the company.
