NOTES TO THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2025

1. STATUTORY INFORMATION

HMC Holdings Limited is a private company, limited by shares , registered in Scotland. The company's registered number and registered office address can be found on the Company Information page.

The presentation currency of the financial statements is the pound sterling, rounded to the nearest pound.

2. STATEMENT OF COMPLIANCE

These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with Financial Reporting Standard 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" including the provisions of Section 1A "Small Entities" and the Companies Act 2006.

3. ACCOUNTING POLICIES

Basis of preparing the financial statements
The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention as modified by the fair valuation of certain assets.

The company is profitable, well funded with little external finance. The directors do not forecast any material change in the company's profitability or cash flows. Based on these factors and available market information, the directors continue to adopt the going concern basis in preparing the financial statements.

Preparation of consolidated financial statements
The financial statements contain information about HMC Holdings Limited as an individual company and do not contain consolidated financial information as the parent of a group. The company is exempt under Section 399(2A) of the Companies Act 2006 from the requirements to prepare consolidated financial statements.

Turnover
Turnover represents the amount derived from property management and the provision of storage facilities exclusive of value added tax. Rents received are allocated on a straight-line basis over the term of the lease or rental agreement.

Tangible fixed assets
Depreciation is provided at the following annual rates in order to write off the cost less estimated residual value of each asset over its estimated useful life.
Land and buildings - 2% on cost
Plant and machinery etc - 33.33% on cost, 20% on cost and 10% on cost

Where there is evidence that the carrying value of a fixed asset has been impaired, an appropriate provision is made.

Investments in subsidiaries
Investments in subsidiary undertakings are recognised at cost.

Investment property
Investment property is included at fair value. Fair value gains and losses are recognised in the income statement. Where applicable, deferred tax is provided on these gains at the rate expected to apply when the property is sold.

Unrealised fair value gains and related deferred tax provisions are transferred from retained earnings to a fair value reserve to distinguish them from distributable profits.

NOTES TO THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS - continued
FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2025

3. ACCOUNTING POLICIES - continued
Taxation
Taxation for the year comprises current and deferred tax. Tax is recognised in the Income Statement, except to the extent that it relates to items recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity.

Current or deferred taxation assets and liabilities are not discounted.

Current tax is recognised at the amount of tax payable using the tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the balance sheet date.

Deferred tax
Deferred tax is recognised in respect of all timing differences that have originated but not reversed at the balance sheet date.

Timing differences arise from the inclusion of income and expenses in tax assessments in periods different from those in which they are recognised in financial statements. Deferred tax is measured using tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the year end and that are expected to apply to the reversal of the timing difference.

Unrelieved tax losses and other deferred tax assets are recognised only to the extent that it is probable that they will be recovered against the reversal of deferred tax liabilities or other future taxable profits.

Pension costs and other post-retirement benefits
The company contributes to defined contribution pension schemes for current employees. The assets of the schemes are held separately from those of the company in independently administered funds. The pension cost charge represents the contributions payable by the company during the year.

Financial instruments
Debtors and creditors with no stated interest rate and receivable or payable within one year are recorded at transaction price. Any losses arising from impairment are recognised in the income statement in administrative expenses.

Loans and borrowings are initially recognised at the transaction price including transaction costs. Subsequently, they are measured at amortised cost using the effective interest rate method, less impairment. If an arrangement constitutes a finance transaction it is measured at present value.

Cash on the balance sheet comprises cash in hand and cash at bank.

Leasing
Assets obtained under finance leases or hire purchase contracts are capitalised and depreciated in the same manner as other tangible fixed assets. The related obligations, net of future finance charges, are included in creditors.

Rentals payable under operating leases are charged to the profit and loss account on a straight line basis over the period of the lease.

Employee benefits
When employees have rendered service to the company, short term benefits (including holiday pay) to which employees are entitled are recognised at the undiscounted amount expected to be paid in exchange for that service.

4. EMPLOYEES AND DIRECTORS

The average number of employees during the year was 6 (2024 - 6 ) .
