The presentation currency of the financial statements is pound sterling (£) and the level of rounding is the nearest £1.
| 2. | Accounting policies |
Basis of preparing the financial statements
Financial instruments
The company has entered into basic financial instruments only. These comprise intercompany and other debtors, trade and other creditors, and cash at bank. Financial assets and liabilities are recognised at transaction price. Debtors are reviewed for impairment at each reporting date.
Taxation
Taxation represents the amount payable or recoverable in respect of the current accounting period. Current tax is recognised at the amount expected to be paid using tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the balance sheet date.
Deferred tax
As at 31 December 2025, the company has tax losses carried forward available for offset against future taxable profits. No deferred tax asset has been recognised, as the directors consider that it is not yet sufficiently certain that future taxable profits will be available against which the losses can be utilised.
Pension costs and other post-retirement benefits
The company operates a defined contribution pension scheme. Contributions payable to the company's pension scheme are charged to profit or loss in the period to which they relate.
Debtors
Short term debtors are measured at transaction price, less any impairment. Loans receivable are measured initially at fair value, net of transaction costs, and are measured subsequently at amortised cost using the effective interest method, less any impairment.
Cash
Cash is represented by cash in hand and deposits with financial institutions repayable without penalty on notice of not more than 24 hours.
Creditors
Short term creditors are measured at the transaction price. Other financial liabilities, including bank loans, are measured initially at fair value, net of transaction costs, and are measured subsequently at amortised cost using the effective interest method.
Consolidation accounts
The company is a subsidiary undertaking and does not prepare consolidated financial statements. The financial statements have therefore been prepared on an individual company basis.
