Alfreton Amateur Boxing Club CIC was established to provide accessible amateur boxing coaching and fitness training opportunities for children, young people and adults within Alfreton and the surrounding areas. During the year the CIC delivered regular boxing training sessions, with a particular focus on supporting children and young adults through structured coaching, fitness development and participation in amateur boxing. The club provides a safe, supportive and disciplined environment in which members can develop physical fitness, confidence, self-esteem, resilience and respect for others. The CIC's activities included: -Delivering regular amateur boxing coaching and fitness sessions. - Providing opportunities for members to participate in skills development and training bouts. - Supporting members to attend boxing events and competitions hosted by other amateur boxing clubs. - Encouraging participation in organised sport regardless of previous experience or ability. - Providing a positive community environment that promotes healthy lifestyles and personal development. The director believes these activities have benefited the community by providing constructive sporting opportunities for local young people, encouraging regular physical activity and helping participants develop important life skills including discipline, commitment, teamwork and confidence. The CIC operates on a not-for-profit basis and any surplus generated is retained within the organisation and reinvested in coaching, equipment, training facilities and the continued development of members.
