During the financial year September 2024 to September 2025, Sanctuary for Sisterhood CIC delivered community-based programmes supporting women and girls affected by domestic abuse, gender-based violence, and social isolation across Wandsworth and Hammersmith & Fulham. Our activities included peer support groups, trauma-informed creative workshops (painting, pottery and perfume making), domestic abuse awareness education, and a clothes bank initiative in Roehampton. We developed and launched a 12-week empowerment programme for young women aged 11–16 at Chelsea Youth Club, and a weekly adult creative workshop series in partnership with Ray’s Playhouse. We worked in partnership with Chelsea Theatre, Wandsworth Care Alliance, Roehampton Parish Trust, Wandsworth Council, and local voluntary sector organisations to reach women facing barriers including poverty, isolation, and the aftermath of abuse. All activities were delivered in direct pursuit of our community interest purpose: to break the silence around domestic abuse, support survivors in their healing, and build safer, stronger communities for women and girls. We are recognised by IMKAAN as a domestic violence support service.
