    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, net of discounts and value added tax.

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

    Tangible fixed assets are measured at cost less accumulative depreciation and any accumulative impairment loss.

Company activities and impact

Haverfordwest Farmers Market CIC operates a weekly farmers market in Castle Square, Haverfordwest, providing a platform for local farmers, growers, food producers, artisans and small businesses to sell their products directly to the public. The market is held every Friday throughout the year and pro-motes locally produced food, drink, plants, crafts and other products from Pembrokeshire and the sur-rounding area. During the year the company provided an important outlet for local producers, helping small businesses to remain sustainable and encouraging the purchase of locally sourced goods. The market contributes to the local economy by supporting independent traders and attracting residents and visitors into Haverfordwest town centre. The company also organised and supported special market events during the year, including seasonal markets and community-focused activities designed to increase footfall and create an enjoyable shop-ping experience for people of all ages. Through its activities the company promotes community engagement, supports local enterprise, encourages sustainable shopping practices and helps maintain a vibrant town centre environment for the bene-fit of the wider community.

Consultation with stakeholders

The company's principal stakeholders are its traders, customers, local producers, visitors, community groups and the wider Haverfordwest community. As the company is operated by market traders, regular discussions take place between traders and the management committee regarding the operation and development of the market. Feedback received from traders and customers is used to improve the market, develop special events and ensure the market continues to meet community needs. The company continues to work with local stakeholders to promote the market and support economic activity within Haverfordwest town centre.

Directors' remuneration

During the financial year, Carol Vine, a director of the Company, received payments of £50 per month (£600 in total for the year) which were charged within administrative expenses. These payments were made in respect of administration duties connected with the operation of Haverfordwest Farmers Market CIC, including banking and general administration. The directors considered the amount paid to be reasonable and in the best interests of the Company.
