COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

IAIS-UK C.I.C.

Company Number: 15005973 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 July 2025

Company activities and impact

During the financial year, IAIS-UK C.I.C. continued to develop its role as a community interest company supporting civic participation, intercultural understanding, community engagement, and international cooperation. The company explored opportunities to secure external funding to strengthen its community work in the United Kingdom, including an application to the National Lottery Community Fund. Although this application was unsuccessful, the process helped the company refine its priorities, strengthen its internal planning, and identify future areas for community-based delivery. IAIS-UK also received a donation of €5,000 from the International Alliance for Integration & Sustainability in Malta, which supported the company’s development and community engagement activities during the year. This support is meant to help us in future activities of the community from 2025 onwards. IAIS-UK organised community days at Kew Gardens, providing opportunities for participants and community members to engage in informal learning, wellbeing, intercultural exchange through food, music, and art, and environmental awareness. These activities contributed to the company’s community benefit by encouraging social connection, inclusion, and positive engagement with nature and public spaces. The company also participated in international civic and democratic engagement activities, including the international observation of the 2025 Egyptian Senate Elections in August 2025 and Parliamentary Elections in November 2025. Through this involvement, IAIS-UK contributed to wider civic education, democratic participation, and international dialogue. The learning and experience gained from these activities helped strengthen the company’s capacity to promote informed citizenship, public participation, and cross-cultural understanding. Overall, IAIS-UK’s activities benefited the community by supporting inclusion, civic awareness, intercultural learning, and opportunities for people to engage with social, democratic, and environmental issues in practical and accessible ways.
