| Basis of preparing the financial statements |
| Turnover |
| Turnover comprises income drawn from service charge receivable from the date of occupation by the Lessee and rent receivable. The Income comprises: |
| Ground Rent : | £37.50 | - per half yearly per flat |
| Service Charge : | £70.00 | - per month per flat |
| The half yearly Ground rent is due from leaseholders 6 months before it is due for payment to the Freeholder. Payment made in March to the Freeholder - ground rents are collected from leaseholders in September the year before. |
| Payment made in September to the Freeholder - ground rents are collected from leaseholders in March of the same year. |
| Taxation |
| The company is a non-trading Residents' Association for mutual benefit and, therefore, no tax is payable on the results. |
| Sinking fund |
| The Under lease does not provide for the provision of a sinking fund. As such there is no legal requirement to have one in place so the company has not made provisions for one. |

| 7. | DIRECTORS' ADVANCES, CREDITS AND GUARANTEES |
| TRANSACTIONS WITH DIRECTORS |
| A. During the year the following transactions took place between the company and Mrs I Bernard |
| who is the Company secretary/Treasurer & a Director of the company, as well as a Lessee. |
| (i) Invoices totalling £589 were received and paid to Mrs Bernard as reimbursement of company expenses initially paid out of her own private funds The main make up of these expenses were as followers: |
| (a) £19 paid for postage and other expenses |
| (b) £202 paid to Kingston Borough annual Garden bin collection service. |
| (c) 368 paid for repairs and other expenses |
| (ii) Mrs Bernard was paid a fee of £2,400.00 in the performance of her duties of overall management of the properties, Company Secretarial and Treasurer of the Company during the year. The amount paid to her was agreed during the AGM held in 2004. |
| B. The company received service charge contributions and ground rents from the following directors/shareholders, who are also Lessees, in respect of flats owned by them, respectively, in the year: |
