| 2. | ACCOUNTING POLICIES |
| Basis of preparing the financial statements |
| Going Concern |
| The Directors are confident that the Company will continue in operation for the foreseeable future, being a period of at lest 12 months from the date of signing of these financial statements. The financial statements have been prepared on a going concern basis. |
| Turnover |
| Turnover is derived solely in the UK and represents amounts receivable for goods and services net of VAT and any discounts in respect of catering and King's coffee shop sales. |
| Grants |
| Both revenue and capital grants are credited to the appropriate fund upon receipt or earlier if any performance conditions attached to the grant have been met or are fully within the control of the Company and there is sufficient certainty that receipt of the income is considered probable. |
| Stocks |
| Stocks are valued at the lower of cost and net realisable value, after making due allowance for obsolete and slow moving items. |
| Cost is determined on a first in first out basis. Net realisable value represents estimated selling price less costs to sell. Provision is made for slow-moving, obsolete or damaged stock where net realisable value is less than cost. |
| Taxation |
| Taxation for the year comprises current and deferred tax. Tax is recognised in the Income Statement, except to the extent that it relates to items recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity. |

| Current tax is recognised at the amount of tax payable using the tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the balance sheet date. |

| Deferred tax is recognised in respect of all timing differences that have originated but not reversed at the balance sheet date. |
| Timing differences arise from the inclusion of income and expenses in tax assessments in periods different from those in which they are recognised in financial statements. Deferred tax is measured using tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the year end and that are expected to apply to the reversal of the timing difference. |

| The Company is 100% owned by its parent undertaking, Kings Church Centre Norwich, There have been no transactions in this or the previous year between the Company and Kings Church Centre Norwich other than under normal market conditions. All profits not required by Kings Church Centre Facilities Norwich to maintain the operations of the Company are donated to Kings Church Centre Norwich and utilised in its "Serving People Saving Lives" outreach. |
