| Basis of preparing the financial statements |
| Turnover |
| Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, excluding discounts, rebates, value added tax and other sales taxes. |
| Intangible assets |
| Amortisation is provided at the following annual rates in order to write off each asset over its estimated useful life. |
| Software - 15% on reducing balance |

| Depreciation is provided at the following annual rates in order to write off each asset over its estimated useful life. |
| Plant and machinery etc - 25% on reducing balance and 20% on reducing balance |
| Taxation |
| Taxation for the year comprises current and deferred tax. Tax is recognised in the Income Statement, except to the extent that it relates to items recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity. |
| Current or deferred taxation assets and liabilities are not discounted. |
| Current tax is recognised at the amount of tax payable using the tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the balance sheet date. |
| Research and development |
| Research expenditure is written off against profits in the year in which it is incurred. Identifiable development expenditure is capitalised to the extent that the technical, commercial and financial feasibility can be demonstrated. |
| Foreign currencies |
| Assets and liabilities in foreign currencies are translated into sterling at the rates of exchange ruling at the balance sheet date. Transactions in foreign currencies are translated into sterling at the rate of exchange ruling at the date of transaction. Exchange differences are taken into account in arriving at the operating result. |
| Pension costs and other post-retirement benefits |
| The company operates a defined contribution pension scheme. Contributions payable to the company's pension scheme are charged to profit or loss in the period to which they relate. |

| The accounts have been prepared on the going concern basis. The directors have assessed the company's current financial position and believe that the company will be able to continue operating for the foreseeable future. |

| 8. | PENSION COMMITMENTS |
| The company operates a defined contribution pension scheme for all employees. The assets of the scheme are held separately from those of the company in an independently administered fund. At the balance sheet date, unpaid contributions of £1,204 (2024 : £1,988) were due to the fund. They are included in other creditors. |
| 9. | RELATED PARTY DISCLOSURES |
| At the year end, the company owed £382,000 (2023: £635,930) to businesses controlled by the director. The loans are interest free and repayable on demand. |
