The directors present their report with the financial statements of the company for the period ended 30 September 2025

Principal activities of the company

The company showed a profit this period. This increased from £5,036 in 2024 to £38,516 in 2025. There were a number of contributing factors to this, the current period is 9 months, whilst the previous period was 12 months. Costs were tightly managed and a review of expenditure was undertaken and costs reduced accordingly. Income is up by 5.5% this period (current period income considered equivalent to 12 months to compare with the previous year). Costs are tightly managed at administrative expenditure level. Gross profit was 80.9% (2024 83.0%). Net profit percentage was 5.4% (2024 0.6%). Salaries were down 1.8% this period (current period expenditure considered equivalent to 12 months to compare with the previous year). Consultancy fees were down 5.9% this period (current period expenditure considered equivalent to 12 months to compare with the previous year). Costs will continue to be reviewed in 2026. On 19 June 2025 the company was also registered as a charity (Charity number 1213705). There was no charitable activity from 19 June 2025 to 30 September 2025. The Charitable Company changed it's name to PATOSS THE PROFESSIONAL ASSOCIATION OF TEACHERS OF STUDENTS WITH SPECIFIC LEARNING DIFFICULTIES on 25 November 2025 (working name - PATOSS).

  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

    These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

    Revenue is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, excluding discounts, rebates, value added tax and other sales taxes. Turnover represents net invoiced sales of subscriptions, conference fees, publications, donations and other sources of income excluding value added tax.

    Tangible fixed assets depreciation policy

    Depreciation is provided at the following annual rates in order to write off each asset over its estimated useful life.     Stocks Inventories are valued at the lower of cost and net realisable value, after making due allowance for obsolete and slow moving items. Tax is recognised in the Income Statement, except to the extent that it relates to items recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity. Current or deferred taxation assets and liabilities are not discounted. Current tax is recognised at the amount of tax payable using the tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the balance sheet date.
