Turnover represents the amounts derived from the company's principal activity of producing and staging live poetry events.
Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable. Revenue is recognised to the extent that it is probable that the economic benefits will flow to the company and the amount of turnover can be measured reliably.
Income from ticket sales is recognised when the related event takes place, regardless of the channel through which the tickets are sold. Amounts invoiced or received in advance of an event are deferred and held within creditors as deferred income, and released to turnover in the period in which the event is held. Where an event is cancelled and tickets refunded, no turnover is recognised.
