Newcastle City Cricket Club CIC was established to support the development of cricket and provide opportunities for participation within the local community. During the year, the Club continued to offer coaching, training and competitive cricket for men, women, boys and girls, promoting health, wellbeing and community engagement. The Club remains registered as a Community Amateur Sports Club (CASC) and, as a result, all activities and operations continued to be undertaken through the cricket club. The CIC remained dormant during the year and was not used for any trading or operational activities.
The Company’s stakeholders are its members, players, volunteers, supporters, local residents and the wider community. The directors and committee members have been involved with Newcastle City Cricket Club for many years and are committed to ensuring that the Club continues to meet the needs of the community and provide opportunities for participation in cricket. The Club engages regularly with its stakeholders through Annual General Meetings, committee meetings and informal drop-in discussions at the ground. Members are encouraged to raise suggestions and provide feedback throughout the year, and club officers, captains and coaches are readily available to discuss any matters relating to cricket, facilities or the development of the Club. This open and collaborative approach helps the Club understand the needs of its members and the wider community and ensures that decisions are made in the best interests of promoting participation, inclusion and the long-term sustainability of the Club.
