A free access annual literary festival for the community of Shepton Mallet which took place at the end of October/Start of November. The 2024 and 2025 festivals featured free access to author talks and readings, including for example; music - a big band, a ghost story telling evening and (reduced entry) comedy events, a free guided tour of the town, children events, with many events selling out, also other events during the year including Spring tales in march and all providing a welcome to the local community. The monthly book talk event 'booktalk' has also continued to evolve and attracts a growing loyal following and attendees.
The festivals stakeholders are the community of Shepton Mallet and we have been taken feedback directly via events and via the contact page on the website as well as via the Library and the Community Bookshop
