3. Financial Commitments

During the financial year that ended 30 September 2025, the directors continued to contribute their time without charge to the company, including the design and launch of the company's website, drafting of organisational policies in support of registration with UK Research and Innovation (UKRI), development of the company's research portfolio, and initial engagement with prospective board members. While not reflected as monetary investments in these accounts, these contributions represent a significant part of the company's continued development during the period.

Company activities and impact

During the financial year from 1 October 2024 to 30 September 2025, SMART HEALTH PARTNERSHIPS C.I.C. remained in its development phase and continued preparatory work to support its community interest objectives. The company’s activities focused on building the governance, research credentials and operational platform needed to deliver its future objectives. This included designing and launching the company’s website, beginning the process of registering with UK Research and Innovation, drafting organisational policies required to support that registration, building the company’s research portfolio, identifying potential board members, and researching future funding sources. The company did not secure income or funding during the period and had not yet commenced frontline research or communications activities. However, the activities undertaken benefited the community by creating the organisational foundation needed for future work in population health research, health communications, health promotion, evidence on health inequalities affecting migrants and expatriates, public health policy partnerships, and mental wellbeing.
