COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

PAPA ACADEMY CIC

Year Ending: 30 September 2025

Company activities and impact

Papa Academy CIC was established to provide free digital skills training to women from ethnic minority communities in Hackney, Tower Hamlets and Newham. The Company's training activities are wholly dependent on donations and grant funding from external donors and funders. During the financial year ended 30 September 2025, the Company was unable to secure the donation and grant income required to fund the delivery of training programmes. As a result, no training programmes were delivered to beneficiaries during the year. Notwithstanding the absence of programme delivery, the Company: Maintained its registration as a Community Interest Company in good standing with Companies House and the Regulator of Community Interest Companies; Continued to make its existing online learning materials – covering website development, digital marketing, cyber security and starting an online business – freely available to community members through its existing channels; Commissioned the development of additional digital course content from a third party at a cost of £100, in order to be ready to resume delivery once funding is secured. In the financial year 2023/2024, over 110 women from the target communities benefited from the Company's training. The directors remain committed to the Company's social mission and are actively seeking donation and grant funding to enable the resumption of programme delivery in the next financial year.
