BABY CABARET CIC

Year Ending: 31 October 2025

Company activities and impact

During the financial year, Baby Cabaret CIC continued to provide regular sessions for parents, carers and children under the age of five, creating a safe, inclusive and welcoming environment that supports early childhood development and family wellbeing within the local community. Our sessions offered a range of age-appropriate activities designed to promote children's physical, social, emotional and cognitive development through play, sensory experiences, music, movement and creative learning opportunities. The activities delivered throughout the year helped children develop essential gross and fine motor skills, improve their communication and language abilities, build confidence and encourage positive social interactions with their peers. By participating in these sessions, children were able to learn through play in a stimulating environment that supports school readiness and healthy development during their early years. The organisation also provided significant benefits to parents and carers by creating regular opportunities to meet, connect and build supportive relationships with other local families. This has helped reduce feelings of isolation, particularly for new parents and those without established support networks, while encouraging a stronger sense of belonging within the community. Baby Cabaret CIC remained committed to ensuring that its activities were accessible and inclusive to families from diverse backgrounds, helping to remove social barriers and providing opportunities for all children to participate and thrive. Through these activities, the company has strengthened community connections, promoted family wellbeing and contributed positively to the development and long-term outcomes of young children and their families.

Consultation with stakeholders

During the financial year, Baby Cabaret CIC consulted regularly with its key stakeholders, including parents and carers attending the sessions, local families, early years practitioners, community organisations and venue providers. Feedback was gathered through informal conversations during and after sessions, direct messages, emails and verbal discussions with participants. This consultation helped us to better understand the needs of families and ensure that our activities remained relevant, accessible and beneficial to the local community. In response to feedback received, we adapted some of our activities to better suit different age groups, introduced additional sensory and interactive play opportunities, and reviewed session timings to improve accessibility for families with varying schedules. Parents also expressed the importance of having a regular space to socialise and build supportive networks, which reinforced our commitment to maintaining a welcoming and inclusive environment. We continue to work closely with local organisations and professionals to identify opportunities for collaboration and to signpost families to additional support services where appropriate. This ongoing engagement with stakeholders has enabled Baby Cabaret CIC to continuously improve its services and ensure that it continues to meet the needs of children, parents and the wider community.
