During the financial period the company provided accessible performing arts education, training and performance opportunities for children and young people in the local community. The core activity was the delivery of structured teaching sessions in performing arts, supporting students developing skills in dance, performance, confidence, teamwork, and stage experience. Sessions were delivered on a weekly basis throughout the year by the director in a teaching capacity, alongside support from additional freelance teachers where required. A key focus was to provide students with real world performance experience in professional and large scale venues. This included participation the the National Entertainment Awards (NEA), where students were given the opportunity to perform and showcase their work on a national platform alongside other performers from around the UK, this took place for the first round in Grays, Essex and they were subsequently voted through to the next round and had the opportunity to perform at Indigo, 02 in London. In addition to these major events, students attended and competed in various regional competitions throughout the year, these enabled students to develop performance discipline, resilience and technical ability whilst receiving feedback from industry professionals. Participation in such events supported progression in performing arts and encourage personal achievement.
