Year Ending: 31 October 2025

Company activities and impact

The main purpose of Big Blue Ocean Cleanup CIC is to facilitate ocean and community beach cleans and raise awareness about marine plastic pollution. This has benefited the local community by providing new opportunities for individuals, volunteers, and businesses to get involved in making their coastal areas cleaner, safer, and more environmentally responsible. Educational school workshops and marine literacy presentations were also delivered alongside various events with community groups and partner networks. This has benefited the local community by helping engage young people in learning more about their local marine environment and its protection. We have also benefited the community by raising awareness of the damage caused by plastic waste to marine life and wildlife, enabling local people to be socially responsible for their locality. We linked up with many organisations including the UK Scouts and provided numerous volunteer opportunities. Our media reach and news coverage meant that many people locally, in our community, and nationally saw our campaigns.
