Company activities and impact

Rounded Dot was conceived to help the charity/ not for profit sector with art sales which both generated money for the charity but also raised awareness of the charity purpose, through art. The company sourced 10 artists who we asked to re-imagine the logo for the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament (CND), more commonly known as the peace symbol. They provided their work for free. The company sourced a printer partner, The Print Space, who agreed to print the work to order. We launched the print sale with a live event at the The Print Space gallery to which we invited possible customers and PR (Nov 24). We obtained free PR from AgencyPep who attended the event. We asked all the artist to promote the event and art sale on their socials and via email. CND also emailed their extensive database. We advertised via Facebook. We sold prints until the art sale ended on the 12 Dec 24 and then made a payment of £1630 to CND in Feb 25. We have not been able to source a charity / not for profit partner to complete another project since.

Consultation with stakeholders

The stakeholders are the artists (providing art), the customers (buying art) and the supply partners. We consulted The Print Space (supply partner) at the end of the sale asking them to reflect on issues that we all could have done better. They provided a template for better marketing. We consulted with the artists throughout the sale (asking them to continue to push the art sale) and at the end of the sale asking if they would participate in other print sales. The customers were entirely satisfied with the product and we received no negative feedback. The art sale did not generate as much money as we have hoped but we have learnt from the experience that marketing must be consistent across all participating parties.
