NOTES TO THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
FOR THE YEAR ENDED 31 DECEMBER 2025
| 1. | STATUTORY INFORMATION |
Summit Recruitment Limited is a
The presentation currency of the financial statements is Pound Sterling (£).
| 2. | ACCOUNTING POLICIES |
BASIS OF PREPARING THE FINANCIAL STATEMENTS
GOING CONCERN
At the time of approving the financial statements, the directors have a reasonable expectation that the company has adequate resources to continue in operational existence for the foreseeable future. Thus the directors continue to adopt the going concern basis of accounting in preparing the financial statements.
REVENUE RECOGNITION
Revenue is the amount receivable for the provision of services to the hospitality industry falling within the company's ordinary activities for the financial year, excluding value added tax. Revenue is recognised when it is probable that transactions will generate future economic benefits that will flow to the company and can be reliably estimated.
GRANT INCOME
Grants, inclusive of job retention scheme income, are recognised when receivable. In the event that a grant is subject to fulfilling performance conditions before the company is entitled to the funds, the income is deferred and not recognised until it is probable that those conditions will be fulfilled in the reporting period.
TANGIBLE FIXED ASSETS
| Leasehold property improvement | - |
| Fixtures and fittings | - |
| Computer equipment | - |
Tangible fixed assets are stated at historical cost less accumulated depreciation and any accumulated impairment losses. Historical cost included expenditure that is directly attributable to bringing the asset to the location and condition necessary for it to be capable of operating in the manner intended by management.
The assets' residual values, useful lives and depreciation methods are reviewed and if appropriate are adjusted if there is an indication of a significant change since the last reporting date.
Gains and losses on disposals are determined by comparing the proceeds with the carrying amount and are recognised within administrative expenses in the Statement of Income and Retained Earnings.
The company carries out a review at each reporting date on the carrying value of its fixed assets (plant and
machinery & fixtures and fittings) to ensure that any indication of impairment is correctly recognised within the
financial statements if necessary. The recoverable amount of the asset is estimated in order to determine the
extent of the impairment loss, if any. If the recoverable amount of an asset is estimated to be less than its
carrying amount, the carrying amount of the asset is reduced to its recoverable amount. Any impairment loss is recognised as an expense within the Statement of Income and Retained Earnings.
TAXATION
Taxation for the year comprises current and deferred tax. Tax is recognised in the Statement of Income and Retained Earnings, except to the extent that it relates to items recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity.
Current or deferred taxation assets and liabilities are not discounted.
Current tax is recognised at the amount of tax payable using the tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the balance sheet date.
