Red Row Garden Hut CIC continued to operate as a community-based horticultural and gardening resource serving residents of Red Row, Broomhill and the surrounding areas during the reporting period. The company provided affordable access to gardening supplies, seeds, plants, compost, animal feeds and horticultural products, together with practical advice and support for local gardeners and allotment holders. The organisation maintained its commitment to encouraging gardening, food growing, environmental awareness and community participation. Throughout the year, the Garden Hut supported local residents by providing knowledge and assistance to new and existing gardeners, helping individuals develop gardening skills, improve their outdoor spaces and increase participation in allotment and growing activities. The company also continued to act as a local community hub where residents could access advice, share experience and obtain products that support sustainable gardening practices. The activities of the company benefited the community by promoting healthier lifestyles, encouraging outdoor activity, supporting local food growing, reducing social isolation through community engagement and helping to maintain and improve local green spaces. The company's work also contributed to environmental sustainability through the promotion of gardening, biodiversity and responsible land use. Any surplus generated by the company was retained within the organisation and used to support its community objectives, ensuring that the benefits of its activities remained available to the local community. The directors consider that the company's activities during the year have continued to satisfy its community interest objectives and have delivered tangible social and environmental benefits to the community it serves.
