COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

ANOTHER EAR CIC

Company Number: 13627402 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 30 September 2024

Company activities and impact

Use this wording in the Companies House/CIC34 box: During the financial year ended 30 September 2025, ANOTHER EAR CIC continued to carry out activities for the benefit of the community by providing practical support, advice, representation, mediation assistance, administrative support and community-based help to individuals and families requiring assistance. The company’s work benefited the community by helping service users access guidance and support and by addressing other community matters. The company also provided practical assistance where required, including help with documentation, communication, translation/interpretation arrangements, community referrals and general support for vulnerable or disadvantaged individuals and families. The impact of the company’s activities was that community members were able to obtain assistance that they may otherwise have struggled to access. The company helped individuals, especially the Somali and Romany Gypsy community, who are at the very end of society, and also families, better understand their options, organise relevant documents, communicate with third parties, and receive practical and emotional support during difficult circumstances. The company operated for community benefit and not for private profit. Its resources were applied towards maintaining community support services, including communication tools, software, administrative resources, travel, volunteer/community support and other operational costs necessary to deliver its activities.

Consultation with stakeholders

The company’s stakeholders include service users, community members, families requiring assistance, volunteers, community supporters, directors and individuals or organisations who interact with the CIC in connection with its community support work. Consultation took place informally and directly through conversations, meetings, telephone calls, messages and ongoing contact with service users and community members. The company considered the needs raised by beneficiaries and stakeholders when deciding what practical support, advice, representation, mediation assistance and administrative help should be provided. In response to feedback and requests for assistance, the company continued to provide practical community support, helped beneficiaries with documentation and communication, supported individuals and families facing difficulties, and maintained the operational resources needed to deliver community benefit activities.
