COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

IDEATION AFRICA CIC

Company Number: 14091786 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 30 April 2026

Company activities and impact

Ideation Africa CIC was established to support community development, education, mentoring, tutoring, and social-impact initiatives, particularly with a focus on young people and underserved communities connected to Africa and the diaspora. Over the period of its activity, the CIC supported community-focused work in the UK, through educational guidance, project development, advisory support, and initiatives aimed at creating opportunities and improving access to knowledge, skills, and development pathways. The decision to close the CIC has been made due to a strategic shift in our operations. We now have increasing operational activity across Africa, particularly in Angola and other African markets, and are also focusing on fundraising and project development locally within those jurisdictions. As a result, the UK-based CIC has had limited operational presence and activity. In addition, the CIC structure is not yet widely recognised or easily understood in many African jurisdictions, particularly in Angola, which makes it less practical for our current and future work on the continent. For these reasons, we have decided that it is appropriate to close the CIC and continue our activities through more suitable local structures.
