Nada Alramahi’s Centre of Education – UK CIC (NACE) focuses on educational provision and creative learning activities. During the reporting period, NACE continued the development of its Arabic language programme for children and young people aged 5–16. In 2022–2023, the programme was delivered weekly at Ark King Solomon Academy in Westminster. Each session integrated structured language instruction with creative expression, emotional support, and cultural engagement. The curriculum is designed to promote bilingual development, strengthen communication skills, and foster a sense of belonging among children from Arabic speaking families. Activities such as storytelling, visual arts, and reflective dialogue support a trauma informed learning environment in which students feel safe, recognised, and empowered. Due to the programme not covering its operational costs and the absence of external funding, delivery was transitioned to an online format. Alongside the Arabic programme, NACE provides academic support in Maths, English, and Science, GCSE tutoring, and project guidance for MSc and PhD students in higher education. These services reflect the organisation’s broader commitment to inclusive, accessible, and lifelong learning.
NACE’s stakeholders include the children and families who previously participated in the Arabic language programme, as well as adult learners who have engaged with the centre’s academic support services. Consultation took place informally through conversations with parents and ongoing communication during the delivery of the programme. Parents expressed that they valued the in person sessions, but students were unable to commit to online learning when the programme moved to a remote format. As a result, participation declined, and NACE currently has no active students. Families also highlighted the importance of maintaining accessible, in person provision; however, the organisation was unable to cover the associated costs without external funding. To address this, NACE applied multiple times to the Westminster Small Grants – Core Fund Panel to secure financial support for continuing in person delivery, but the applications were not successful. The lack of funding limited NACE’s ability to sustain the programme in the format preferred by stakeholders. Stakeholder feedback continues to guide NACE’s planning, and the organisation remains committed to securing funding to reinstate in person educational activities that meet community needs.
