Notes to the Financial Statements

for the Period Ended 30 September 2025

  • 1. Accounting policies

    Basis of measurement and preparation

These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

    Turnover policy

Turnover comprises the fair value of the consideration received or receivable for the sale of goods and provision of services in the ordinary course of the company’s activities. Turnover is shown net of sales/value added tax, returns, rebates and discounts. The company recognises revenue when: The amount of revenue can be reliably measured; it is probable that future economic benefits will flow to the entity; and specific criteria have been met for each of the company's activities

    Other accounting policies

Cash and cash equivalents Cash and cash equivalents comprise cash on hand and call deposits, and other short-term highly liquid investments that are readily convertible to a known amount of cash and are subject to an insignificant risk of change in value. Trade creditors Trade creditors are obligations to pay for goods or services that have been acquired in the ordinary course of business from suppliers. Accounts payable are classified as current liabilities if the company does not have an unconditional right, at the end of the reporting period, to defer settlement of the creditor for at least twelve months after the reporting date. If there is an unconditional right to defer settlement for at least twelve months after the reporting date, they are presented as non-current liabilities. Trade creditors are recognised initially at the transaction price and subsequently measured at amortised cost using the effective interest method. Borrowings Interest-bearing borrowings are initially recorded at fair value, net of transaction costs. Interest-bearing borrowings are subsequently carried at amortised cost, with the difference between the proceeds, net of transaction costs, and the amount due on redemption being recognised as a charge to the profit and loss account over the period of the relevant borrowing. Interest expense is recognised on the basis of the effective interest method and is included in interest payable and similar charges. Borrowings are classified as current liabilities unless the company has an unconditional right to defer settlement of the liability for at least twelve months after the reporting date.

COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

SIMPLI.LIFE CIC

Company Number: 15113750 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 30 September 2025

Company activities and impact

Simpli.life CIC was officially launched in February 2025, and this reporting period primarily covered the establishment and initial development of the organisation. During the period, Simpli.life CIC began delivering animal-assisted therapy and nature-based activities for children and adults, including individuals experiencing mental health challenges and those with addit, ional support needs. Focus during the reporting! period was on establishing services and building relationships with the local community. This included engaging with social prescribers, schools, charities and other community organisations to raise awareness of the services available and to develop referral pathways for future participants The first paid client sessions commenced in September 2025 and Simpli.life CIC provided tailored one-to-one sessions incorporating animal interactions, nature-based activities and outdoor wet being experiences. Activities were adapted to meet individual needs and aims to promote confidence, emotional wellbeing, social engagements and connection with nature. Although activity levels during this initial reporting period were limited due to the time required to establish Simpli.life CIC and develop referral networks, Simpli.life CIC successfully laid the foundations for future growth and increased community benefit through the expansion of its services in future years.

Consultation with stakeholders

As a newly established organisation, Simpli.life CIC engaged with participants, families, local organisations and community partners to understand focal needs and inform the development of services offered. Feedback was gathered through discussions with clients, parents, carers and partner organisations. This feedback informed the design of programs and helped ensure the activities were accessible, relevant and responsive to the needs of the communities Simpli.life CIC aims to serve. Simpli.life CIC will continue to consult stakeholders as services and opportunities expand and additional community programs are delivered.
