COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

OVERWATCH COMMUNITY RESPONSE CIC

Company Number: 15334178 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 December 2025

Company activities and impact

The company underwent a change of directors and operational direction during August 2025. Following the appointment of new directors, the organisation was restructured and developed under the trading identity of Overwatch Community Response (OCR), with a focus on providing community benefit through community safety, safeguarding, volunteer engagement and support to local events. At the time of the takeover, the organisation consisted of four active volunteers. By the end of the reporting period this had increased to six volunteers, including a volunteer providing medical support and assistance at community events. Between August and December 2025, volunteers conducted regular high-visibility community patrols, typically operating twice per week across local communities. These patrols provided reassurance to residents, promoted community safety and enabled volunteers to identify and report concerns to relevant agencies where appropriate. The organisation actively engaged with local communities and partner agencies throughout the reporting period. This included attendance at Police Safer Neighbourhood Team meetings, meetings with Community Protection Officers and local parish councils, and participation in community events. OCR volunteers supported a range of local events by providing stewarding, welfare support, first aid assistance, traffic management and community safety services. Activities included support at fireworks events, Christmas markets and Remembrance Day commemorations, including road closures, traffic management and parade escorts. The organisation also began developing educational and preventative community initiatives, including the delivery of first aid and dog safety awareness training to local youth groups and Scouts. Formal activity and volunteer-hour recording procedures were introduced during December 2025 as part of the organisation's ongoing commitment to improving governance, accountability and impact measurement. These activities contributed to community benefit by improving public reassurance, supporting community events, promoting public safety, encouraging positive engagement between residents and volunteers, and providing practical support to local organisations and community groups.

Consultation with stakeholders

The company regularly consulted and engaged with stakeholders throughout the reporting period. Feedback was obtained directly from residents during community patrols and public events. Volunteers operated within their local communities and were able to identify concerns and community priorities through direct engagement with local residents. The organisation also received feedback from local businesses, parish councils, Community Protection Officers and Police Safer Neighbourhood Teams. This feedback helped inform operational priorities and community activities. Regular team meetings were held with volunteers to gather feedback on community needs, operational effectiveness and opportunities for further community engagement. This consultation process enabled the organisation to develop services and activities that reflected the needs of the communities it serves.
