Chalfest took place on July 18th and 19th 2025 with close to 120 volunteers from the local community getting involved in organizing, performing, stewarding, building and tidying up the community. All local community groups and charities were once again given free space to raise awareness and funds. These included scouts, cubs, community shop, Stroud Valleys Project. Parish Council, Chalford Climate Action Network, local school PTAs and churches. Added in this year was even more space for community groups to showcase their services.
We held a community meeting en masse at least once a month for the 7 months leading up to the event and ensured all members of the community had a chance to speak at these or volunteer for the event. These were very well attended and supported with overwhelming support for the event. To make sure no one missed out on the chance of attending a team of volunteers knocked on all doors within a 500 metre radius of the event reminding people that it was taking place and ensuring those that wanted tickets, had them. We took action this year on the issue of parking that was raised last year and the event went off without incident.
