Balance sheet statements

For the year ending 31 July 2025 the company was entitled to exemption under section 477 of the Companies Act 2006 relating to small companies.

The members have not required the company to obtain an audit in accordance with section 476 of the Companies Act 2006.

The directors acknowledge their responsibilities for complying with the requirements of the Act with respect to accounting records and the preparation of accounts.

The members have agreed to the preparation of abridged accounts for this accounting period in accordance with Section 444(2A).

These accounts have been prepared in accordance with the provisions applicable to companies subject to the small companies regime.

The directors have chosen to not file a copy of the company’s profit & loss account.

1. Accounting policies

These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with the provisions of Section 1A (Small Entities) of Financial Reporting Standard 102

Turnover policy

Turnover is measured at the fair value of the consideration received or receivable, excluding discounts, rebates, value added tax and other sales taxes.

Valuation and information policy

Stock is valued at the lower of cost and net realisable value, after making allowance for obsolete and slow moving items.

Other accounting policies

Debtors Short term debtors are measured at transaction price (which is usually the invoice price), less any impairment losses for bad and doubtful debts. Loans and other financial assets are initially recognised at transaction price including any transaction costs and subsequently measured at amortised cost determined using the effective interest method, less any impairment losses for bad and doubtful debts. Creditors Short term creditors are measured at transaction price. Loans and other financial liabilities are initially recognised at transaction price net of any transaction costs and subsequently measured at amortised cost determined using the effective interest method. Taxation Taxation for the year ended 31 July 2025 comprises current tax. Tax is recognised in the Income Statement, except to the extent that it relates to items recognised in other comprehensive income or directly in equity. Current tax is not discounted. Current tax is recognised at the amount of tax payable using the tax rates and laws that have been enacted or substantively enacted by the balance sheet date. Unrelieved tax losses are recognised only to the extent that it is probable that they will be recovered against other future taxable profits. Provisions Provisions (i.e. liabilities of uncertain timing or amount) are recognised when there is an obligation at the reporting date as a result of a past event, it is probable that economic benefit will be transferred to settle the obligation and the amount of the obligation can be estimated reliably. Foreign currency translation Transactions in foreign currencies are initially recognised at the rate of exchange ruling at the date of the transaction. At the end of each reporting period foreign currency monetary items are translated at the closing rate of exchange. Non-monetary items that are measured at historical cost are translated at the rate ruling at the date of the transaction. All differences are charged to profit or loss.

Description of the Transaction: Dr R. A. Gekoski is a director of the Company. During the year ended 31 July 2025 the Company purchased stock totalling £ 34,000 from a business owned by Dr R.A. Gekoski at cost (2024: £ Nil). During the year ended 31 July 2025 £ 316 (2024: £ 1,286) was reimbursed to Dr R. A. Gekoski for business expenses incurred on behalf of the Company. Dividends totalling £ 500 were voted to Dr R.A. Gekoski during the year (2024: £ 4,200). As at 31 July 2025, Included in creditors is a balance due to Dr R. A. Gekoski of £ 3,684 (2024: £ 4,000). The balance has no fixed repayment date and no interest is charged thereon.
