In the financial year, 180 Degrees Consulting Exeter CIC completed projects with 12 NGOs around the world, bringing us to over 50 since it was founded in 2020. Our mission is to both empower students to take on responsibility and work to benefit social-impact organisations, as well as to work with underserved NGOs around the world that would traditionally not be able to afford or access consulting services. This financial year we have employed over 30 student volunteers from the University of Exeter, and worked with some exciting socially minded organisations, of which we highlight two below: COFTONE - Based in Uganda, the NGO aims to create self-reliant communities through grassroots financial empowerment, 180DC Exeter worked with COFTONE to design a sustainable, scalable and credible VSLF model, including selection criteria, a value proposition, an implementation roadmap and proposal for workshops with underlying users. Exeter Leukaemia Fund - ELF supports blood cancer patients and families at the Royal Devon & Exeter Hospital. They provide financial aid, fund specialist nurses and advance treatment though fundraising. 180DC Exeter worked with ELF to research potential partnerships beyond the University of Exeter that aligned with their volunteering plans, presented a social media strategy to better engage with their target audience, and identified ways to increase engagement in partnership with other local organisations. This financial year we have continued to benefit our direct community in Exeter, as well as expanded our global footprint by working with NGOs aiming to solve important social challenges in their respective countries. At 180DC Exeter, we care about social impact on a global scale, and we are proud to have worked with NGOs across Europe, the Middle East, Africa, North and South America and South East Asia since we were founded.
