During the financial year ended 30 September 2025, Inspiring Golf Inclusion CIC continued its work to widen access to golf and increase representation within the sport, with a particular focus on individuals and communities currently underrepresented in golf participation and leadership. The Company delivered eight golf clinics over the year, held at The Grove, Stoke Park, Bush Hill Park (three clinics), Reading, Nottingham, and the West Midlands. These clinics provided accessible entry points into golf for newcomers, with participants supported to progress from introductory sessions into established pathway programmes, helping to build a sustainable route from first contact with golf through to ongoing participation. Two of these clinics were delivered in partnership with Heward Mills. In May 2025, IGI partnered with Heward Mills to deliver a golf day and clinic at The Grove, featuring an inspirational talk from IGI founder Julia Regis, who also serves as Senior Independent Director on the board of England Golf. The event brought together 40 golfers, including a clinic specifically for 8 Black and Brown women and girls, supporting greater diversity of participation in the sport. In September 2025, IGI again partnered with Heward Mills to deliver a golf clinic for 10 participants at their AI and Governance event at Stoke Park, followed by a golf day attended by 30 people, extending IGI's reach into new professional net- works and audiences. During the year, IGI Directors, Julia Regis and Chengetayi Pswarayi, completed England Golf's Community Golf Instructor programme, qualifying them to deliver basic introductory golf sessions in com- munity and school settings. Both were DBS checked and completed safeguarding training as part of this qualification, strengthening IGI's capacity to deliver safe, high-quality sessions directly within the com- munities it serves. IGI also attended professional golf tournaments, including the AIG Women's Open, to raise awareness of its work and mission among wider golfing audiences and the industry. The Company also maintained an active social media presence throughout the year, using content aligned with the women's professional golf calendar and its own programme of events to raise aware- ness of inclusion issues in golf and to showcase diverse role models within the sport, drawing on inde pendent research (including the Golf Foundation's Impact Report) to underpin its advocacy. Taken together, these activities benefited the community by lowering barriers to entry into golf for underrepresented groups, creating welcoming and visible platforms for diverse participation, building partnerships and internal capacity to extend IGI's reach into new networks and settings, raising the visibility of inclusion issues within the wider sport, and contributing to a wider cultural shift toward inclusion within the golf industry.
IGI's stakeholders include: the junior golfers and their parents who take part in its programmes; clinic and event participants; partner organisations including Heward Mills, England Golf, and Sport Eng- land; volunteers and instructors delivering sessions; and the wider communities IGI seeks to engage in golf, particularly those currently underrepresented in the sport. During the year, IGI consulted with parents of junior golfers participating in its programmes to understand how we could better support their children's development and experience in the sport. This con- sultation surfaced specific concerns, including instances of micro aggressions experienced by some girls within golfing environments. In response, IGI connected parents with one another to build a peer support network, and provided direct telephone support to parents navigating these issues. IGI also identified that the cost of participat- ing in supportive events was itself a barrier for some families, and in response agreed to cover the cost of attendance for all junior players at IGI events going forward, helping to remove a practical obstacle to continued participation.
Nicola Bennett, a director of the Company, received £430 during the year for delivering golf coaching services as part of IGI's Intro to Golf clinics, in her professional capacity as a golf professional. These services were provided in her professional capacity as a qualified golf professional and were separate from her duties as a director. All other directors received no remuneration, save for the reimbursement of reasonable travel and out-of-pocket expenses incurred in the course of their duties.
