During the financial year, QADR CIC delivered a range of community-focused activities designed to strengthen social connections, promote inclusion, and support local enterprise. Our primary activities consisted of organising stall-based networking and community events that brought together people from diverse backgrounds in a welcoming and inclusive environment. These events provided opportunities for residents to meet, socialise, and build meaningful connections, helping to reduce social isolation and foster a stronger sense of community cohesion. A key element of these events was the provision of affordable opportunities for small local businesses, entrepreneurs, and community organisations to showcase their products and services. By providing stall spaces and networking opportunities, we helped increase the visibility of local enterprises, supported community-based economic activity, and encouraged collaboration between businesses and residents. QADR CIC also collaborated with other Community Interest Companies and community organisations to deliver activity-based events with free entry. Removing financial barriers enabled wider participation from individuals and families who may otherwise have been unable to attend. These events encouraged positive social interaction, community engagement, and access to recreational activities regardless of financial circumstances. Many of our activities incorporated sports, recreation, and social engagement, providing opportunities for participants to improve their physical and mental wellbeing. By creating safe, welcoming spaces where people could come together around shared interests, we helped reduce feelings of isolation, alleviate everyday pressures, and promote positive mental health through social connection and active participation. Overall, QADR CIC’s activities contributed to bringing the community together, strengthening relationships between residents, supporting local businesses, promoting inclusion, and improving community wellbeing.
