Events – Totally Locally Leek arranged various events throughout the year including the Halloween Bat Trail. These events are popular with residents and visitors and help promote the varied independent businesses within the town. Town Map –The town Map underwent a major update with over 70 businesses appearing on the printed Map. We also included an events section which highlighted major town events as well as Totally Locally Leek Events. Website – The website continued to be developed adding more businesses and attractions in the wider area. The website is also used to promote events organised by Totally Locally Leek as well as other town communities, giving visibility to the range of activities organised locally. Social Media – Due to lack of resources we were not able to devote as much time as we would have liked to using social media to highlight local independent businesses. Volunteers have offered to help with this in the coming months. Sunday Supplement - The Sunday Supplement Artisan Market takes place once a month between February and November, and twice in December. The Market celebrated it’s 12 year anniversary and continues to go from strength to strength The market draws in thousands of visitors each month from outside the town, and area, which creates increased sales opportunities for local independent shops, cafes and pubs. Additionally, the market employs local musicians, and other entertainers to create a family friendly atmosphere, helping to raise the profile of Leek as a tourist destination. The market has 90 local market traders on its’ books, with an average of 75 traders per market. The market links up with, and donates towards, the Foxlowe Arts Centre once a year to run the Dr Plots event, which provides outreach children’s workshops, both on the day and in the weeks leading up to the event. Also a parade, live performances, local historic information and storytellers. The Market links up with local charity’s allowing them a space on the market to assist with raising awareness and funds. Including Breast Cancer Awareness, Staffordshire Wildlife Trust regularly as well as the Fire Service, and Blood Bikes when available. Impact 2024-2025 – With the help of some volunteers we were able to create a new Town Map.

The company’s stakeholders are residents and visitors to the town and local independent businesses within the town and also market traders who attend the monthly Sunday Supplement Markets. Two directors of the company have or have previously had their own businesses within the town and seek feedback on a regular basis from other business owners. Unfortunately, due to reduced availability of one of the directors we have not been able to have any face to face meetings with business owners, but we have tried to communicate via online channels. Regular feedback is taken from participants of the various events organised by Totally Locally Leek their views and suggestions are discussed and implemented where practical. Regular face to face communications take place, monthly with stall holders attending the Sunday Supplement Market where their views and suggestions are discussed and implemented if practical.

The total amount of payments made to directors in respect of qualifying services was £8400. There were no other transactions or arrangements in connection with remuneration of directors, or compensation for director’s loss of office, which require to be disclosed.
