Basis of preparing the financial statements

These financial statements have been prepared in accordance with Financial Reporting Standard 102 "The Financial Reporting Standard applicable in the UK and Republic of Ireland" including the provisions of Section 1A "Small Entities" and the Companies Act 2006. The financial statements have been prepared under the historical cost convention.

Going concern

The Directors have prepared the financial statements on a going concern basis which requires the Directors to have a reasonable expectation that the Company has adequate resources to continue its operational existence for the foreseeable future and the Company has sufficient capital to meet its regulatory requirements for a period of at least twelve months from the date of approval of the financial statements. Accordingly, they continue to adopt the going concern basis in preparing the annual report and financial statements.

Tangible assets

Tangible fixed assets are measured at cost less accumulated depreciation and any accumulated impairment losses.
Depreciation is calculated so as to write off the cost of an asset, less its estimated residual value, over the useful economic life of that asset as follows:
Office equipment
33% straight line

Stocks

Stocks represent digital currencies held by the company at the year end. Digital currencies are recognized in accordance with the requirements of FRS102.

Share-based payments

The company operates an Enterprise Management Incentive (EMI) share option scheme for employees and has also granted equity-settled share-based awards to contractors in exchange for services received.
The fair value of equity-settled awards is determined at the grant date and recognized over the vesting period. For employee awards, the expense is recognized within "Other staff costs", while awards granted to contractors are recognized within "Other distribution costs", with a corresponding credit to the "share-based payment reserve" within equity.
The number of awards expected to vest is reviewed at each reporting date and the cumulative expense is adjusted to reflect the latest estimate. Upon exercise of options, the related balance in the share-based payment reserve is transferred to share capital and share premium. Amounts relating to lapsed awards are transferred to retained earnings.
