COMMUNITY INTEREST ANNUAL REPORT

THE WILDINGS PROJECT CIC

Company Number: 16033105 (England and Wales)

Year Ending: 31 October 2025

Company activities and impact

The company runs a care farm and wellbeing activities based on a smallholding called The Wildings. The focus in this first year has been setting the company up, beginning to install facilities that are needed in order to accept clients (such as a toilet and some hard standing paths), and liaising with stakeholders to complete market research. Although we have made a loss in this first year (as anticipated), during the financial year 2024-2025 we have benefitted the community in the following ways: * Local cubs and beavers groups have been able to visit in order to spend more time in nature and learn about livestock, farming and animal welfare. * Local residents have been on site as volunteers to plant approximately 800 trees in a new woodland area. This has allowed them the opportunity to connect with other members of the community and improve wellbeing by making a positive difference. * Lincolnshire County Council’s Youth Offending team have used our site for reparation placements for their young people, giving them the opportunity to do some physical labour as a way of paying back to the community but also giving them access to a setting that they would not otherwise have access to. * Lincolnshire County Council’s Early Help team have bought a young person down to spend time with the animals in order to boost confidence.

Consultation with stakeholders

The company’s stakeholders are members of the local community, potentially spread across Lincolnshire and into South Yorkshire and Nottinghamshire. Key stakeholders are the local council, schools, Alternative Provisions, care homes, day care centres and the home education community. The Directors have help conversations with several local settings from the above group to discuss what could be offered and what facilities would be needed; the responses to this has helped shape the first year of the company and what projects have been undertaken. We have also posted on social media, in Lincolnshire home education groups, in order to research what the home education community are looking for in terms of 1:1 sessions or group sessions. Through this research, we have been able to build up a profile of local community needs, which we are able to prepare for over the winter period and launch fully in Spring 2026.
