During the financial year, Generous Hearts CIC focused on establishing the organisation and developing projects that will widen educational opportunities for children and young people from disadvantaged backgrounds. The CIC’s activities included developing educational resources, building relationships with schools and community partners, creating a fundraising strategy, and preparing initiatives to improve access to high-quality educational opportunities. This included progressing the publication of a children’s book promoting kindness, inclusion and empathy, which is intended to support schools, families and communities in encouraging positive values and wellbeing. The CIC also developed plans for an educational expedition designed to inspire young people, build confidence and resilience, and raise awareness of the organisation’s mission through community engagement and media activities. Although the CIC has not yet generated significant income during this financial year, considerable work has been undertaken to establish the organisation, build partnerships and lay the foundations for future community benefit in accordance with its community interest objectives.
During the financial year, the CIC engaged with a range of stakeholders, including parents, education professionals, schools, publishing professionals and community partners. These discussions helped shape the organisation’s objectives, educational resources and future activities. Stakeholder feedback informed the development of projects aimed at widening educational opportunities, promoting inclusion, supporting children’s wellbeing and encouraging positive values through education and community engagement. The CIC will continue to consult with stakeholders as its activities expand.
