The company provides educational, social and wellbeing activities for children and young people, including those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND), who are not currently accessing mainstream education. During the financial year, the company delivered activities through the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme, providing structured learning, creative activities, social opportunities and access to nutritious food during school holidays. The company supported children and families by reducing social isolation, improving confidence and wellbeing, and creating safe, inclusive opportunities for young people to develop skills and build positive relationships within their community. The company also worked with local organisations and community partners to increase access to support services and activities for families who may otherwise face barriers to participation.
The company has engaged with a range of stakeholders, including Gloucestershire County Council, the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) programme, parents, carers and community partners, to ensure activities meet the needs of local children and families. Through participation in the HAF programme, the company has received and undertaken training and guidance in areas including paediatric first aid, safeguarding, due diligence and programme delivery standards. Feedback from participating families, partner organisations and programme coordinators has been used to shape and improve services. Ongoing consultation with stakeholders has helped ensure activities remain safe, inclusive and responsive to the needs of children and young people, particularly those with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND).
