The company runs the local open age football club. This currently consists of 2 men’s football teams, an A and B team, with 50 players registered for the season 25/25. The football club in its current guise was formed in 2020 from a pub team within Penkridge, and then incorporated a second pub side as the B, or reserve side, in 2022. The club benefits the community in the following ways: The only adult mens football club in the village, offering a pathway to regular football for those that want it. Developing the site of the Monckton Centre, Pinfold Lane, Penkridge, for improved use for all. A club for local supporters to watch on their doorstep without travelling to outer areas. Increased footfall in the local Monckton Bar, including bringing opposition teams and fans to the bar. Sponsorship and advertising opportunities for currently 3 local businesses. Community events in the name of fundraising. Charity fundraising for local causes, currently Steps for Jessica.
